Benefits of Daycare
Hi Ladies!
It has been a while I know. Things have been a bit crazy in my life. My hubs has mono so I have been nursing a sick man and trying to keep a baby away from him. We dont need Mackenzie to get mono too! I have also been planning a "sprinkle" for my sister - her EDD is Nov 6...Which I am not too thrilled about planning for an Oooops baby! Plus my mother is a beast to work with when planning parties. So to say the least I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off! hahaha
Anyway I wanted to see if any of you ladies knew of any link to show the benefits of daycare. My mother has been rubbing it in about how much better it is to be a stay at home mom. Well thats great! If you want to pay my mortgage..sure I'll be a SAHM!! I know that I have read a bunch of reasons why it is good - social aspect, building up immunities...etc..but when I try to explain it to my mother she just gets all loud with me. I wanted to send her a link so that she can actually read something rather than not listen to me talk! haha
And figures I cant find what I am looking for!

Mackenzie's Big Day!
Yesterday was Mackenzie's Christening. It was a beautiful day with beautiful people and really good food! :)
Of course she woke up with a puffy red eye...wasn't quite sure what it was but it cleared up by the end of they day. But if you look her left eye is a little red, figures. We also noticed in the morning she had cut her first tooth!! Her right tooth is starting to show and its pretty sharp too...such a cool milestone.

She's Baaaack!
Ugggh! After 18 months of her absence, she's back. AF showed up yesterday...I didnt even know she was coming, no pains or anything...until she actually arrived that is. So yesterday and today have been pretty miserable. I am hoping because it's been a while since my last AF. A year and a half. I had a good run...now back to reality :(

Wildwood
So my vacation was really fun. Mackenzie loved the water! I will say that it was hard to go to the beach with a 6 month old. Working between her 2 naps, the sand, the sun, feedings, and changing diapers...its not easy. Its not like you can just plop her in the sand and let her play...we had to hold her pretty much the whole time. She did love her little pool though! We ended up only going to the beach a few times, but we did other fun stuff instead - like go to the Zoo and Cape May.
Next time Jay and I decided to do a Stay-cation...it will be much easier not having to pack, and unpack all of our crap!! Plus it will be much more relaxing!!! :) I need a vacation from my vacation!!!
Thought this was a funny pic and had to add it!!

sicky
I have bronchitis!! I have never had it before...and it sucks really bad!!! Last night I went into a coughing fit and I felt my throat closing up. I could barely breath for a good 15 minutes. Scared the crap out of me - was ready to go to the hospital. But I got meds from the dr's so I hope that I will feel better soon. Especially since I am going on vacation on Friday. Yeah for Vacay Boo for Sicky! Mack is sick too, but she has been on the nebulizer for a week now so she is getting better. I just called school and they said she is happy. So thats good.
I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend...

Trigger Thumb
So I have noticed that Mackenzie's right thumb is always bent. When I try to extend it either I cant or it will pop. I know it sounds gross, but it really made me nervous since it's a thumb and it's on her right hand. When I touch her thumb it doesn't hurt her so I figured I would mention it to the doctor the next time I go. Well we ended up going to the doctors yesterday and I when I mentioned it I got the response....lets wait and see how she grows into it. He felt her bones in her hand and said that everything feels fine but we will check it out as she gets older. I read up on it and it says that its not that common (figures) and that 50% of kids will grow out of it. It is supposedly the tendons in her thumb are really tight - I guess that's why its always in the bent position. There are a few options...Physical Therapy, Splint or Surgery. I shutter at the thought of surgery but we will consider as a last resort. I know the doctor said that we will wait and see how she grows into it, but I cant stop thinking that the more I massage her thumb or do some kind of physical therapy earlier on the better chances she will have of it correcting by itself. The whole thing just makes me queasy.
On top of that Mackenzie is very sick, as is Jay and I, so we took her to the doctors. He said that her chest was filled with fluid, and did a blood test that showed she has some kind of bacterial infection - he said that it could mean pneumonia or bronchialitis. Both of those words scare the crap out of me! He gave me the nebulizer to use on her 3 times a day. I stayed home with her yesterday and Jay is home with her today. Luckily I work from home tomorrow too! I also have to water down her formula and make sure to offer her bottle all day long. :( Poor Mack...I feel so bad for her. But she is such a trooper...she is still playing and laughing - so at least she isn't miserable! She even sits really well with me when I do the nebulizer thingy...I love her!!
Figures that we are going away on vacation next week...I can't wait. Every year we go down to Wildwood, NJ for some fun, sun and good eats! Hopefully the family will be all better then!

my sister...
Thanks for your kind words about ending breastfeeding. Today Mackenzie is 5 months so I at least made it this far!! I was getting really down on myself for not being able to continue it any longer. I didn't pump at all yesterday but still got to nurse her 2 times - morning and night. So I am going to continue this for as long as I can. We will see how it goes!!
(trigs)
Sooo....I never blogged about this yet because it would make it all the more real. But I think I have come to terms about it. (yeah right) Do you remember my whole ordeal with my sister? How uncompassionate, unresponsive and unsympathetic she was through my infertility travels? I wrote her this whole long letter to her and got no response back. Yeah well she is pregnant. 20 weeks actually. It took me by surprise since she announced it very shortly after I gave birth to Mackenzie. The best part about it - baby was an Ooops baby! Just like her other 2 kids. WTF! It was almost like a dig at me. "We weren't even trying!" "It happened on Valentines Day" BARF!!! I love my sister, and I will love this baby but I still cant believe that she is pregnant. She is also almost 40. Not that age matters but we all know that the older you get the harder it is to conceive...yet another dig at my infertility. (I am 10 years younger than her)
I don't know why but the whole thing just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Something tells me that she wanted to get pregnant again and tell me it was an oops just to rub it in my face. Why do I feel that way? Because of her lack of support, emotion, sisterly love and compassion when I was trying like hell to get pregnant. If she was there for me I know I would not feel this way. It doesnt help that when I bring up anything about my infertility she is uncomfortably silent. She will never understand. Never.
Oh yeah I don't think I told you that my sister in law is also pregnant. She is due after the summer and announced her pregnancy about a week before I went into labor. She said she got preggo the first month they started trying. Uggh! If it were only that easy. This is the same chick that announced her first pregnancy 3 DAYS before my wedding! Bitch always like to steal my thunder. I couldn't believe she was doing it again. But I got over it once I saw my little girls face. :)
Anyways...so that my family life right now...surrounded by fertile mertiles.....ughhh!

It was a good run...
Well it was a good run but I think its about over. My breastfeeding has pretty much come to an end. 5 months - I think I did a pretty good job. My goal was 6 months but I just dont forsee that happening. Mackenzie eats way too much. While at work she does 3 bottles of 7 ounces. I only pumped 10 ounces at work yesterday. My supply has been decreasing and she is getting hungrier! If it wasnt for my reserve that I had (about a months supply) I would have been done a lot earlier. I am glad that I pumped so much while I was on maternity leave - it definitely allowed me to continue breastfeeding a lot longer.
But my reserve is pretty much gone and I cant pump enough for her daily feedings. I think I am still going to try and nurse her first thing in the morning and maybe before bed. But as for all the in-between feedings I will be formula feeding. She wont eat the powdered formula...although I wouldnt blame her. Has anyone ever tried tasting it??? It is absolutely disgusting - tastes like metal! So we buy her the ready made formula and she likes that much better. It does taste better but is more expensive!
So I bid farwell to breastfeeding. It was good while it lasted. I loved every minute of it and will miss the closeness that I had with Mackenzie during her feedings. I know if I wasnt working I would still be nursing, but I feel like its near impossible to nurse for an entire year while working a full time job. So I am very proud of myself that I got this far. And hopefully I can continue one or two feedings until shes 6 months!

Movie
Here is the movie that I made. The first part of it I was trying to videotape it on my own (not so successful but it was still cute) but then Jay came home and he taped the second half of the video for me!
Dont mind my voice - it's always high-pitched when I am talking to Mackenzie!! :) haha

Mackenzie is Strong!
So yesterday I was doing my normal exersizes with Mackenzie and she surprised me once again. From a laying down position I have her grab my fingers and she sits up. Then she pushes on her feet and gets herself in a standing position. Then if I lean her forward a little bit she begins to take steps!!! She is only 4 and a half months old and she is already proving to me that she is sooo strong. Jay thinks she is going to walk early. My mom told me I started to take my first steps alone at 9 months...so we will see!!
She has been pulling herself up to a standing position for a few weeks now but just yesterday she started to take the steps forward. I think it has to do with her walker we broke out a few days ago. She now knows that her feet make her mobile!!!
I have this on video but I am not sure how to get it onto the site. If anything Ill put it on youtube.com and give you guys the link...its sooo cute!

When to introduce rice cereal??
Hey Ladies!
Mackenzie went to the doctors today and had a great check-up! (besides the shots) She is officially 4 months old. She is 25.5 inches long and 17 pounds!! She is in the 95 percentile for both height and weight. She's my little Chub Chub!
She loves to stand...she has been for a while now too. The doctor said that she is holding herself up like a 6 month old. But she is yet to roll over. Just goes to show how every baby is different.
Anywho. I asked my doctor when I should start giving her some of the rice cereal. He told me to hold off until 6 months. Wow. I can't lie I gave her a few tastes of the cereal (very little bit and very thinned out with my breast milk) I know that I have read that if you have a history of food allergies to wait, but both Jay and I don't...and the doctor didn't even ask this. Everyone that I talk to says that their doctor said the same and they didn't really wait. Both my mother and MIL started us around 3-4 months. So my question to you is what's your opinion?
Jay and I discussed it and I think we are going to wait until around 5 months to start her on a regular feeding schedule. We also said that it would only be in addition to her milk, never a substitute, which I think is a given. I am also going to make my own baby food. I got this baby cook maker where it steams, cooks and puree's all in one. Can't wait to start using it!
Well I hope all of you have a wonderful LONG weekend. I took Tuesday off too...so I am excited!!

crampy
So lately I have been pretty crampy and achy...I also have been getting some pretty funky headaches too. I guess that AF must be making her grand entrance after 14 months of being away. I am not looking forward to that at all........
I am still breastfeeding exclusively so I am not positive that its my period, but then why am I so crampy?!?! I have been like this for about 4-5 days when I usually only cramp for 1 or 2 days before AF shows up. I hope this isn't a indication of my future AF's!!

talking to the RE
I first want to thank you ladies for your imput on my dilemma with my frozen embies. I appreciate all your kind words. I am pretty sure that I am just going to pay the money and keep the embies on ice for peace of mind.
BUT I have decided to also go back to my RE to touch base with him and get a professional opinion. I am formulating some questions to ask him. Let me know if I am missing any other questions.
• What are my chances of getting pregnant with an FET?
• What is the probility of my eggs being viable after they are thawed? I have 7 frozen.
• Since I dont want another baby for another 3-4 years, is it worth it to keep my eggs frozen for that long?
• Does the amount of time the eggs are frozen have anything to do with the viability once thawed?
• Will my husbands MFI ever improve?

Pumping @ work
I am having a shitty day.
I am still breastfeeding and since I have been back at work I was given a key for an office to pump in. Well I am being kicked out of that office and supposely there is no other office for me to go into. WTF!!!
First off this whole thing was handle in a very unprofessional manner. We are a fairly large company with an HR department. So who does the VP of the company send over to me? Not HR but an administrator assistant. She comes barreling over to me telling me that I need to give up my key in 2 days because someone is taking that office. I began to ask questions and she told me she knew nothing I just need to give up the key. The HR lady should have been informing me this and behind closed doors none the less.
So where do I go now? Who the hell knows?!?! I know that there was a girl who pumped a year ago and she went in this conference room that did not have a lock on the door. PLUS the conference room (when not in use) is used as a pathway from cubicles to the cafeteria!!! So I would be constantly worrying about someone barging through!
I think this is BS. I marched over to HR and explained the situation to her. She said that she is going to get back to me with an answer but I am not holding my breath. I hate my company. I really do. They lack couth, professionalism and care for their employees.
Does anyone know the NJ state laws for pumping at work?

Does anyone know the NJ state laws for pumping at work?

dilemma
Ok girls I really need you to help me out with this one!
I got a bill in the mail for $750 dollars. This bill is for the freezing of my embie babies. For those of you that don't know - I went through IVF and I have about 7 embies frozen on ice. Insurance doesn't cover the cost to keep the embies on ice so I have to pay $750 every year. Otherwise I would have to donate, destroy or give to science. This is a really tough decision for my husband and I. We don't know what to do and have been struggling since we got the bill.
When we first got pregnant we knew that we were going to freeze our embies in case the pregnancy didn't sustain. So we easily paid the $1,000 dollars. But this time is different. We do want to have another child but we want to wait about 3-4 years until we do so. So if we pay the money this year that means we have to pay it for the 3+ years until we decide to have another baby. We also wanted to try naturally for a year first - then do the treatments if necessary.
The other issue is insurance. I was VERY lucky to have a job that has great insurance to cover most of my infertility treatments. But who knows about the future - that could change. I would just kick myself if 3 years down the road I didn't have insurance to cover and I gave up my chance for a few FET's.
Another thought is that FET's aren't as probable that they will end up in pregnancy so maybe it would be better just to go through IVF again. But even though I have been through it before the thought of going through IVF again scares me a little.
I know that $750 dollars over a year isn't that much money but Jay and I just feel like we have been throwing money out the window lately. And you cant get a payment plan - you have to pay it all up front! I don't think this bill could have come at a worse time. Since I was on my maternity leave we have had to dip into our savings and now that I am back at work we are just starting to regain control of our money, kinda.
Uggggh!! I don't know what to do. I really want to save my embies because I would kick myself if we had to go through IVF again or pay for it out of pocket. (and I dont see our infertility issues being resolved) But I also don't want to dig ourselves deeper in a hole of debt. And if we pay the money this year then we have to pay it for the years coming otherwise this first payment would be a waste! And what if - by a big chance - we did get pregnant naturally? Then we wouldn't have needed to pay the money each year at all!
This is such a hard decision. I know you girls cant make it for me but some advice, thoughts, wisdom would be greatly appreciated!!!

Shoe Whore
Thank goodness its FRIDAY!!!
And I am getting out of work early today! Whooohooo!
I am excited because I am going shoe shopping this weekend. I have to admit I am a SHOE WHORE! I have a heel, wedge and flat in EVERY COLOR. Open toes, silver spiked heels, gold buckles, leopard print, snake print, croc print...oh the list goes on. I counted once and I had 78 pairs of shoes (including flip flops - which I have at least one in every color)
BUT...
after my pregnancy my feet got bigger! Ughhh! What a bummer to throw out so many good shoes! Good News - I get to shop for better, newer and prettier shoes!!
And the shoe shopping begins..............
Everyone have a wonderful weekend!!

seeing someone
So I have been contemplating seeing a therapist. I really want to just see how it is, get a lot off my chest and talk without being judged. I have always wanted to see someone with a bias opinion but never brought myself to do so. Does anyone else talk to someone? Does it feel good afterwards? I also dont know where to begin to find someone. I guess the yellowpages?? haha

I can't believe it
I weighed Mackenzie last night and she is a whopping 15 pounds. She is 3 months old and had DOUBLED her weight. I read that a baby will double their weight at 6 months and triple at a year!!! At this rate she is going to be HUGE at a year old :)
I do like her progession I must admit. She is a little bit of a heartier baby. Her neck is very strong and she has been able to stand on her feet for a while now (with my support of course). It makes me feel better about leaving her at school.
She can't stand just staring at the ceiling anymore. She wants to sit up and look around. I had to pack away all the infant bouncers/seats and bring out the jumper and highchair! Even when you hold her she wants to be upright and looking outward. No cradle hold for Mack. She is funny - total personality showing through.

baby rash
Well yesterday I was undressing Mackenzie and noticed a rash all over her back. As a new mom should, I was frightened and called the dr. He told me that since it wasnt on her hands and feet its not an emergency but I should still come in the office in the AM. Good news - it was just a heat rash and should subside within a few days.
Bad news. I called my boss last night to explain the situation. I told him that I am going to the drs in the am and I would be in late. He seemed fine with that and understood the new mommy thing. Or so I thought. I got into the office and checked my email only to find a nasty email from him telling me that I need to tell him promptly if I am going to be sick or late. Umm I thought that last night was promptly enough?? But since I didnt follow up with him this morning he didnt know where I was...are you fucking kidding me? I was at the doctors fool!
So I went into my bosses office and asked him straight up what the deal was. (I kinda dont care anymore...fire me! Ill sit on unemployement for a year and take care of my baby! haha) He told me that his boss asked where I was this morning and he didnt answer her with what she wanted to hear...therefore he got reemed out...therefore I got reemed out. Shit rolls down hill. FAST.
So here I am sitting at my desk, day 3 back on the job, and I am totally pissed off. Missing Mackenzie. Rahhhhh!!!!!!

this sucks
I am back at work now. Good news is that I will be a better blogger, bad news is that it feels like my heart is ripped out of my chest. I honestly feel like I am on the verge of depression. I know that its is only the second day and that I need to give it time. But I dont want to. I dont want to get used to being away from my baby for 10 hours of the day. I dont want to get used to coming to work 4 days a week and leaving my baby with complete strangers.
I am sure it would help if I was leaving her with family but I have to drop her off with someone I dont know and probably doesnt really care about my child. I dont know how to deal with this feeling inside. I just want to scream. I know how lucky and thankful that I am to have Mack in my life and I feel like everything that I went through to get here makes this transition even worse.
Jay and I have exhausted every possibility of me staying home and we come up short every time. What happened to being able to live on 1 income? What happened to stay at home mothers? I feel like my husband has to be making 6 figures in order for me to stay home and for us to live comfortably. Why does life have to be so unfair? In so many ways?
I feel like a part of me is missing right now. I dont feel right. I dont feel like myself.
A mother should not have to be separated from her child this early on.
Sorry this is such a pity party...its just a new feeling. A feeling I HATE.

3 months old
Well like always it has been a while since I have been on here. I dont mean to be so sporadic but I just dont go on the computer as much. Mackenzie has been taking up all my time. Rightfully so. We are doing well. Still breastfeeding and I have about 2 months of reserve in my freezer in the basement for when she goes to school. (which is in 2 weeks!!! ahhh!!) She takes a bottle but let me tell you how HARD it was to go from breast to bottle. She was not having it! :) She is almost 3 months and is now officially out of 3 month clothing! She is a BIG girl. About 14 pounds already! I cant believe it, she is growing like a WEED! She hated tummy time, but is getting better with it now that she feels more comfortable and in control. And we can get out of the house pretty easily now. Overall she is a very good baby. Oh yeah and her best yet...last night she slept over 8 hours!! I couldnt believe it. I woke up in a panic only to realize she was still sleeping! hahaha I guess she takes after her mother and father (we both love our sleep!) Well thats all I can think about for now!
Here are some pictures that we had professionally taken...

6 weeks
Mackenzie is 6 weeks today! I cant believe it...time really does fly. Before I know it I am going to be going back to work...booo! I dont even want to think about it. So we pretty much have a good routine down. During the day we do tummy time, bath time, playtime and a few naps...then get ready for bed around 10pm. She loves her sleep and I think she understands daytime and night time. She sleeps about 4-5 hours in the beginning of the night then wakes me up every 2 hours after that. She is a doll that she lets mommy get her sleep!! :)
We are also still breastfeeding...and its going pretty well. At 4 weeks I introduced the paci and the bottle which did confuse her a little bit, but I think she has the difference of all 3 down now. I cant say it wasnt frustrating when I would give her my breast and she would pull away and cry like crazy. I knew she was hungry and I was engorged ... so I figured that it must have been nipple confusion. But I think the worst of that is over. I am going to have to bottle feed her since I have to take her to school in 2 months but I am going to try and pump for as long as I can, then obviously introduce formula for the rest of the time. I know pumping is going to be a nuisance but I am going to do my best to make it last.
Everything else is good. I go for my 6 week checkup today so hopefully all is okay. I feel okay. Havent lost the weight that I wanted to lose yet...I keep fluctuating between 5 pounds and cant seem to go any lower...I think it time to start exercising. I have about 15-20 more pounds to go...I gained about 45 pounds during pregnancy so I guess I am half way there. I just thought that more of it would have come off easier. I wonder if you lose most of it at 6 weeks or if it takes much longer that that??? Anyone out their in the same boat?
So I have some catching up to do. I must admit that I am steering clear of the computer these days. At my job I sit at the computer all day long so this time off is a treat to me. I will be back full force when I go back in May...sorry that I havent been around. I am going to try and catch up some now... :)

My Birth Story
I woke up around 4am on Monday, January 25 with mild cramps. They were very mild, just felt like I was getting my period, but they were consistent. I kept an eye on them for most of the morning and called my OB just to check in with her. She wanted me to go to the hospital to get checked out. I wanted to try and last at my house as long as I could but went anyways. They checked the fetal heartbeat and my contractions and everything was fine. They wanted to admit me then but the contractions were still very tolerable and not very close apart. So I went back home for a few more hours. About 5pm they were pretty unbearable. Looking back now I could have just hung out at the hospital for the 5 hours or so but I honestly didn't think they would get that strong that quick.
So off to the hospital we went. I was admitted right away and got set up with an IV and administered the epidural. Which by the way was not as bad as I thought it would be - a little sting and then some pressure of the meds entering in my back. The progesterone shots were worse! :) So at around 7pm the OB checked me and I was 9cm's - almost there! We started to push around 815. The RN that was assisting me through all of this was amazing. She got me in every position possible, answering all my questions (I always need to know how and why, haha) And we kept pushing, and pushing, and pushing...when finally it was about 945. The RN said that they don't normally have a women push for more than 2 or so hours because by then the baby is most likely not coming out on its own. I was worried that I was going to have to go in for a c-section!! At 10pm I was still pushing and the RN said that the baby's heartbeat was raising so we had to start pushing at every other contraction and put me on some oxygen. I needed to get that baby out in the next few pushes or else!
We tried one last position, which seemed to work the best. (It was like doing a crunch) The OB asked me if I wanted to use the suction thingy to get her out. It was that or c-sect so I voted for the suction...they also had to cut me! Uggh! But with 3 more pushes I had my baby girl in my arms. I was so happy, crying of course! I also have to credit my husband who was nothing but the best birthing coach. I couldn't have asked for anyone better!
The next day or two in the hospital went fast but it was a roller coaster ride that I was not expecting. By the second night I was SO overtired, drugged up for the pain, in SO much pain and trying to breastfeed. I realize now why a lot of women don't make it through the entire process of breastfeeding. Sitting up in bed all stitched up down there sucked, and add a newborn to the mix wasn't helping at all. I felt bad, she seemed hungry but she wouldn't latch on. And if she did latch on she wouldn't suck or she would just fall asleep. I had a lactation consultant help me and I also had all my nurses giving me advise and watching over me when it was time to feed. But even with all the help me and Mackenzie were still VERY FRUSTRATED.
Finally it was time to go home. I was thrilled to not have to lay in that bed anymore. That bed was killing me down there! hahaha When they wheeled me down to the car ( I had Mack in my arms) I was crying like crazy. Call it hormones, but I had every possible emotion running through my body at once. My husband didn't understand :)
The first night at home was rough too, but after that things just started to get better. I was feeling better, got some much needed sleep and Mackenzie was starting to latch on. My milk came in today which makes me VERY HAPPY. I feel like she is finally getting full filled with each feeding and sleeping for about 3 hours between each feeding. We had our first sponge bath today too and that went really well.
All in all it was an AMAZING experience, the good and the bad. I feel so lucky, so blessed to have this little girl in my arms and I will do nothing but love, cherish and be there for her.

I am proud to annouce...

still hanging out...

No baby yet...it is starting to get a little nerve-wracking knowing that I can go at anytime! but I am enjoying my time off of work and just relaxing at home alone. :)
There are so many days in January that I am trying to avoid for my little girls birthday (it really doesnt matter, but its sort of a game I am playing now) Yesterday was a cousins birthday and today was an old boyfriends birthday...both days I was trying to avoid giving birth on! hahaha
The next few days are all okay until I reach the 25th and the 27th. Anytime after the 27th we are golden. Jason and I both think that I am going on Feb 1st.
My husbands birthday is the 2nd...I asked him if he would mind sharing his birthday with his little girl...he hasnt given me a direct answer, but I dont think he would mind! I think it would actually be really cute to celebrate the birthdays together!
Anyways I hope all is well with everyone. I pray for you all every day!
Ill keep you posted....,.

crampy
For the past few days I have been waking up pretty crampy. It would happen when I wake up in the middle of the night to pee and in the morning. This morning has probably been the most noticeable. It really feels like I am getting my period. My lower abdomen and legs are crampy...with only 11 days left this could be the start of it!!!
I went to my doctors a few days ago and she said that I was 3cm dilated so all the cramping could just be my cervix dilating even more. Not too sure how I am suppose to feel but so far its not too bad. The cramps usually go away during the day so we will see how it goes during the day today. They are so sporadic that I can't time them yet. This waiting game is a little insane!! I kinda hope she hangs out for another week - there is still a lot of things that I want to get done around the house this week...! hahaha
My husband has his laptop all packed and ready to go so I will be able to update you all fairly easily if I should happen to go this week! :)
Pray for an easy labor for me! hehehe

Its official
I am officially on maternity leave! So far...I love it!
I went to the doctors today and I am 3 centimeters dilated!! I cant believe it. The OB said that I could go this week. If I don't then she can schedule me to go in and get induced. I didn't say anything at the time but this is not what I want. I want to let it happen naturally. As long as baby is doing good - and she is - then I want to go into labor and not get induced. I feel like a lot of doctors like to schedule it for their convenience. I don't see why I would need to get induced before my due date anyways...especially since I had IVF. I know my due date is right on the money.
I didn't say anything to her but next doctors appointment I will if its brought up again. Besides I am 3 cm's!!! I bet you she will come on her own. Doc also said that my cervix is still posterior which means that its still far back...supposedly it moves towards the front (anterior) when the time is closer to giving birth.
I am getting excited!!! I have my bags packed and they are by the door....it can really happen any day now!!!
In other news my sister in law just announced that she is pregnant with her second. I am happy for her, I really am. But I can tell you that it hit close to home. See, she announced that she was pregnant with her first about 3 days before my wedding (to the entire family, extended and all). So of course on my wedding day I had all my family talking about HER pregnancy on MY day! So the fact that she is now announcing it once again right before a major event in my life it makes me feel like I am being trumped yet again. I know its petty and silly but with everything that I went through I would have loved to have her wait a few weeks after I gave birth. Not for nothing but she didnt even go to the doctors for a blood test yet....so she is only like 4 weeks pregnant. Like I said I am happy for them but I just wish it didnt have to be this way, yet again. Oh well!
On to focusing on the real task at hand...having this baby! :)
